Outpost

Outpost is a remote network access interface, which allows seamless connectivity via the Internet or emerging wireless networks. Outpost is an "add-on" solution to any of Afinety's "complete" solutions to allow remote accessibility.

Outpost consists of a HP server and Microsoft Terminal Services software configured to allow home or remote users to access and run firm software from any Internet accessible computer.

Why Outpost?

Server Centric Design. Outpost users software runs quickly regardless of the type of remote computer because the Outpost Server performs all of the computing.

Any Type of Connection. DSL or Cable modem access is preferred but even dial-up Internet connections can access Outpost and have a fully functional remote desktop.

Simple Software. Home Office or remote computers connect to Outpost through the Internet and need only the Outpost Client installed and Internet access to operate. No special equipment or complex software is required.

Powerful Functionality.
Outpost can perform lengthy tasks for users inside or out of the office allowing a user to effectively have multiple computers available from a single desktop system.

Security. Your Outpost Server can easily be kept safe from unwanted intruders by adding a firewall and enabling all security measures.

Remote Capabilities Upgraded. Upgrade your Outpost server by adding Citrix Metaframe software which allows remote network printing and local drive mapping for more advanced users.
